Nope. We wanted this to be as flexible as possible for everyone so you can all have a fantastic vacation in Hawaii. We listed six hotels close to our ceremony site, but there are dozens of others, as well as vacation rentals, in the area. Pick the resort that works best for you!
We wanted our wedding to be casual and relaxed, which is why we wanted to get married on the beach. This is going to be a super small ceremony on a public beach. You can expect to park your car on the side of the road, walk through a small wooded path onto a gorgeous gold sand beach. Maui county doesn't allow anyone to set up chairs or decorations, so plan to stand in the sand for about an hour while we get married. There are no bathrooms on this particular beach, though there is a portapotty for emergency situations.
Sure is! Though it'll look a little differently than what you're used to. We didn't want a big wedding, so instead we're hosting a dinner for all of our guests immediately following the ceremony. More to come on that, so keep checking back to the 'schedule' section of the website for updates.
We wanted to make sure everyone coming could enjoy their time in Hawaii how they want to - and not be focused on us and our wedding for all of that. So for that reason we didn't plan days of group events. Anything we are planning will be listed on the 'schedule' section of the website - and we'd love to have you at all of them if you'd like! Otherwise, go enjoy Maui. It's gorgeous and you should get out there and see it! Of course, you can always call or text us and see what we're getting up to that day - we'd love to have you tag along on our adventures!
Absolutely! It's so easy to go between islands. There are dozens of flights daily and the longest one takes 40 minutes. You can spend a few days on Maui and then go to another island, or even head to a different island for the day before flying back to Maui! In fact, we're planning on doing this. We'll be heading over to Oahu on April 29th!
