We met on the first day of college at Palm Beach Atlantic University after both deciding to move in three weeks early for a leadership program. During those weeks, we quickly became good friends, spending most of our time hanging out with a group that’s still some of our closest friends today. Even though there was always something there, we both insisted we were “just friends”—and honestly believed that’s all we’d ever be. It wasn’t until sophomore year that things started to change. Everyone around us seemed to notice it before we did. In December 2024, we finally went on our first date to Piccolo Gelato on Worth Avenue—a simple decision that ended up changing everything for the better. What started as a friendship turned into something so much more—and the easiest “yes” to forever.
