Amber & Jarome

Our story began on a dating app during the summer of 2019. A few months later, Jarome traveled from his home in North Carolina to Maryland to visit his parents for the weekend. Since Amber resides in Maryland, we figured it'd be the perfect time to meet in person for our first date. We met at a nearby cafe where we talked, laughed, and played board games over drinks and appetizers. We connected over our love for travel, working in education, football, and both of us attending an HBCU. 

Due to the pandemic, we had to find ways to date creatively but we’ve maintained and built a strong long distance relationship. Jarome completely surprised Amber when he proposed on July 4, 2022 during an intimate brunch in Raleigh, NC. This summer, Amber will relocate to the triangle area of North Carolina where we can’t wait to tie the knot and start our happily ever after!
