Travel Note
We recently learned of a construction road closure that may or may not affect our guests who are traveling to the wedding. CDOT says the project will begin in 'Fall 2021'. If the road between Lyons and Allenspark (Hwy 7) is closed during the week of the wedding, there are two possible detours. 1 - Travel from Boulder west up either Boulder Canyon or Left Hand Canyon until you reach Peak-to-Peak Hwy, then travel north until you reach Hwy 7, continue on highway 7 to Allenspark. 2 - Travel from Lyons to Estes Park on Hwy 36, leave Estes Park on Hwy 7 towards Allenspark. We will update this note closer to the wedding once we have a better idea on the timing of this road closure.
Travel Note
Anyone flying to Colorado for our wedding will find themselves at DIA, located east of the city of Denver. The airport has several car rental agencies who provide free shuttles from the terminal to their car pickup locations. A light rail is available directly from DIA to Denver for anyone looking to stay a night in the city. Wild Basin Lodge is located 2 hours from DIA, 1.5 hours from Denver, and 1 hour from Boulder. We are more than happy to pickup anyone flying in, just let us know!
Shuttle
September 23, 2021 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Two Shuttles will begin pick-ups at 2:30 pm and leave Estes Park around 3:00 pm to Wild Basin Lodge. We will arrange a few pickup locations once we have a better idea of where everyone is staying. The shuttles will return everyone to Estes Park after the wedding.

We will be staying nearby here, these quaint cottages are situated near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Closer to the park, you have better odds of seeing wildlife and to hear elk bugling.
