Meet Ananya Matewos

Ananya is more than our officiant, she is one of Maria's very best friends. Through every season of life, she has been a source of support, wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love. She has celebrated Maria's happiest moments, helped her through challenges, and has been a constant presence in her life. When it came time to choose who would marry us, there was no one else we could imagine standing with us on such an important day. Having Ananya officiate our ceremony is incredibly meaningful, and we feel so lucky to have someone like Ananya help begin this next chapter of our lives.
Meet Ellie Cowger
Maid of Honor
It’s hard to believe that I’ve only known Ellie for a relatively short time because she has become one of my closest friends and such an important part of my life. Ellie has the kindest soul and the most generous heart. She is truly one of a kind. I met Ellie when she was coaching Tuesday night classes at Alchemy, and our friendship quickly grew through our shared love of fitness. These days, you’ll often find us working out together at TPH in St. Louis Park or doing Hot Yoga here and there. Throughout this wedding journey, Ellie has been my calm in the chaos. She is always willing to jump in and help with anything, no matter how big or small, and somehow manages to make the entire process feel easy. More than anything, she always checks in to make sure I’m doing okay. Her support, thoughtfulness, and friendship mean more to me than words can express. (Ellie, we love you) Moving to Minnesota was one of the biggest changes in my life, and I can honestly say my life here is so much richer because Ellie is in it. I am incredibly grateful to call her my friend and honored to have her standing beside me on our wedding day. And of course, I can’t leave out RJ, Ellie’s adorable dog, who I regularly try to convince her should actually belong to me hehe!
