It all started at Easy Tiger. Andy walked into the storefront and saw this ginger baker covered head to toe in flour and knew he had to meet her. Katie saw a new, cute server with a long beard always glancing over and thought he was going to be way too cool for her. After months of flirting, Andy asked Katie out on New Years Eve and they had their first date a few days later at ABGB and Pinthouse Pizza, two breweries that happen to serve pizza. This would end up being a staple in their relationship. Over the next three years, Andy and Katie travelled across the south, loved on their two dog children, Ginny and Leia, took turns playing each other's favorite songs and ate way too much food. They were supposed to go to Scotland in the early summer 2020 but one dumb bat decided to change their plans. So a week before they were supposed to leave, Andy surprised Katie with a swanky bottle of mezcal (their favorite), lit candles and got down on one knee, presenting her with the ring she's wanted for as long as she can remember. She's pretty sure she said yes.
Katie and Andy had an intimate ceremony with their family. Everything was lavender and yellow. Katie's best friend officiated. Andy's best friend was the musician. They put the letters they wrote to each other for their one year anniversary in a beer box made by Katie' aunt and cousin. It's didn't rain until the ceremony ended. And that's when the bagpiper walked out to play. It was perfect.
