Maid of Honor
Ariel and Becca have been friends since they were 7 and 8 years old. They lived right across the street from each other and spent nearly every waking moment together for 10 years. They are the definition of opposites attract. Ariel is the calm, levelheaded one to Becca’s usually fiery personality. As kids, they would create and put on shows for their parents, run around the neighborhood, and play American Idol on PlayStation for literal hours. They’ve always said that they’re not best friends, but rather sisters separated at birth. Their love and care for each other is something you don’t find often.
Best Man
Andres’ younger brother. Though they butt heads sometimes, deep down they’re each other’s keeper. It doesn’t hurt that they know how to make each other laugh harder than anyone else. Ian has always been the Metal to Andres’ yacht rock, the yin to his yang, but despite their differences they will always have each other’s backs. Andres is proud to call him his brother.
Matron of Honor
Katie and Becca met in 2016 while working together as Character Attendants for Disney Entertainment. She played matchmaker and actually set Becca and Andres up together! We can’t thank her enough for being such a huge part of our love story.
Bridesmaid
Becca and Marisa met in 2016 while working in Disney Entertainment together. She is another member of The Plastics and is also incredibly loyal. She is Becca’s friend that is always ready to have fun and make people laugh. Becca and her are commonly mistaken for sisters and they’re okay with that because that’s how they see each other too.
Groomsman
Joe and Andres bonded over Homestar Runner and Indie Rock in middle school, and joined marching band together in high school, playing in the pit for the Westminster High Marching Owls. Summers were spent vacationing with each other’s families in NC and Deep Creek Lake, playing Guitar Hero until the sun came up and binge watching Seinfeld on DVD. His honesty and humor has helped Andres immensely through some tough times, though Andres still struggles to drink water like a normal human being (I’m working on it Joe). An avid musician and outdoor enthusiast, Joe has always been down for an adventure and a jam.
Bridesmaid
Brittney and Becca met in 2015 while working as hostesses at Yak and Yeti in Disneys Animal Kingdom and they’ve been friends ever since. Her and Becca along with their friend Marisa are commonly referred to as The Plastics. Brittney is an incredibly loyal friend and someone Becca considers a big sister.
Groomsman
Dan and Andres first met in Breakaway youth ministry at Carroll Community Church (now Lifepoint). Countless nights were spent hanging out at Andres’ house or in Dan’s basement watching Ravens games, playing ping pong, making incredible lip synced music videos to Mims’ “This is why I’m hot,” and screaming nonsense into the void. You know how babies are able to talk to one another using their own language of nonsense words? Yeah, like that. Their brains tend to leave their bodies when they’re on a roll together. Dan is always willing to lend an ear to listen and hands to help, and wherever he goes he fosters community and companionship.
Groomsman
Lucas and Andres first met through friends at Lifepoint Church. A true cinephile, they would stay up late talking film, analyzing underlying themes, arguing over philosophy, blasting RHCP, and getting into tomfoolery around town after. Andres has fond memories of exploring abandoned buildings, hiking, Quentin Tarantino flicks, snowpocalypse, bonfires, making the Doug the Pug make gremlin noises, and getting into heated friendly arguments over anything and everything. His love of life is infectious, and his ability to make you laugh is only matched by his ability to make you think. He’s as down to go into a deep dive of the human psyche as he is to party, a true renaissance man.
Groomsman
Tyler is quite possibly the greatest prank artist on the eastern seaboard, turning practical jokes into an art form. And as skilled as he is at that, he’s even more talented as a writer and filmmaker. He’s level headed, organized, and a problem solver.. He was Andres’ roommate for 2 tours of the Disney College Program, and Andres is grateful to have been thought of for such a life changing and fulfilling opportunity in the sunshine state. His word of advice is to “not get the cabinets dusty.” No promises, Tyler.
Mother of the Bride
The strongest woman Becca knows. She loves her family and The Lord fiercely. Ask her any question about British royalty and The Tudors and she will most likely have the answer. She is an animal lover, incredible mother of 5, nurse, grandmother, and owner of a working farm. She wears so many hats and does it all with ease and happiness. Becca is thankful that she got her tenacity, strength, and interest in history from her.
Father of the Bride
Becca absolutely got her love for theme parks, music taste, and her humor from her dad. Always ready to tell a joke or show you a funny video, he’s usually the one making everyone laugh when they need it the most. He filled Becca’s childhood with hundreds of trips to Disney World, gospel music, and a little Barry Manilow and ABBA along the way. It’s thanks to him that Becca knows her way around Magic Kingdom in her sleep; and knows how important it is to love and cherish the people in your life.
Mother of the Groom
Andres’ mother, a saint. She loves unconditionally and without judgement, and has encouraged Andres in all his eclectic interests throughout the years. A fantastic cook, a deft crafts maker and a green thumb, she makes any house the Ugarte’s lived in a home. Stop by the house on any given day and you’ll either find her reading her Bible in a chair in the sunlit living room, or out in the garden tending to the ecosystem she cultivated. Either way, she will be happy to sit and talk with you a while.
Father of the Groom
Andres’ father, he’s been a compass for him as he’s grown. A hard worker, a belly laugher, and an advice giver, he’s helped to raise Andres to live a life of honesty and integrity. His knowledge of cars, the trades, and most importantly family & faith have helped Andres to navigate life when the way didn’t seem clear. Being able to share a beer and talk about life is one of the things Andres looks forward to the most whenever they’re together.
