They met working at Pier 701. They worked well together and became friends. In 2021, Chelsea got into a bad accident and Al was there for her. They started dating but instantly knew - it was something more. And indeed it was!

On Easter Sunday 2023, Chelsea and her family went to Pier 701 to celebrate. While hanging out before dinner, all of a sudden Al decided he would like the window curtains to be opened. Obviously completely unaware, Chelsea could not understand why he was so adamant about opening the curtains and kept asking him, “What’s with the curtains? Maybe the sun is in their eyes…” moments later someone pulled back the curtains to show a large sign that revealed the big question. Still confused, Chelsea thought Al had just ruined someone else's surprise and when she turned around, there was Al down on one knee.. Chelsea then realized, it was her surprise! And quite one at that :)
