In true modern day love story fashion, we met on a dating app. When Steven read in my profile that I was looking for a goofball, he swiped right! I then messaged him, "happy hump day!" Steven responded right away and then I left him on read for 3-5 business days! We started going on dates in spring of 2023 and quickly started bonding over our love of food, travel, and competition reality TV. Between summer travels and the beginning of the WKU football season, we saw each other when we could until we knew there was something special there! One of our favorite moments from an earlier date is when we were leaving, our now favorite sushi restaurant. All a sudden, Steven reached for my hand and pulled me towards him. I thought it was so romantic that he was pulling me in for a kiss. But, after planting one on him, he admitted that he was pulling me back because I had walked right passed the car! Then we laughed in embarrassment the whole way home! Soon after making things official, we started meeting more of each other’s friends and family. We fit so seamlessly with each other’s people that we could start to truly picture our lives together. Since then, we have traveled to many cities, eaten at some of the best restaurants, and made a house a home. We really are each other’s best friends, supporting each other through the good and the bad. Steven always has my back when I need some encouragement, and I may have even developed a small sports card addiction while supporting his hobby. We both truly believe that God made us perfectly flawed for each other and that each blessing and disappointment led us here! We’re Getting married!
