The summer after our freshman year of college, we met at a party back home though not in the most traditional way…Morgan approached Tyler out of concern for his friend (Jack) who had gotten hurt, and that moment was the start of something special. We spent the rest of summer 2018 “hanging out” and decided to officially "give it a shot" and start dating during Morgan’s sorority recruitment prep week at UCF. That marked the start of five years of long distance, Tyler at Ole Miss in Oxford, MS and Morgan at UCF in Orlando, FL. It was important for us to stay close and committed, even from miles apart through long weekends, holidays, countless FaceTime calls, and monthly trips and of course, the 2020 “spring break that never ended,” when we finally got to spend six months together. After graduation, we tackled another chapter of long distance Tyler in North Carolina and Morgan in Utah still relying heavily on FaceTime and monthly visits while navigating our first jobs. Nearly two years later, we finally closed the distance and met in the middle in Dallas, TX. We loved exploring the Lone Star State together and supporting each other through 'adulting' and life. A year and a half later, Morgan’s job brought us to Jacksonville Beach, where we found the perfect place just five blocks from the ocean. Not long after settling in, Tyler planned a “triple date” with our besties Suzi, Kyle, Ansley & Cooper in St. Augustine. The restaurant plans may have changed, but with the Vilano Bridge in the background, Tyler got down on one knee and the rest is history.
