How We Met

A brilliant algorithm, courtesy of app-based dating company Bumble, brought Tim and Rebecca together in 2016. Rebecca took Tim to her favorite neighborhood jaunt for that first date (screening). It was a motorcycle bar on the West side of Chicago specializing in greasy burgers, pool, and cheap beer. Basically, it was magic. After thoroughly impressing him with how down-to-earth and edgy she was, the two began the sacred rituals of dating in an urban city. Dumplings in Chinatown, exploring each other's neighborhoods, snagging impressive hard-to-get reservations at fancy restaurants, and eventually, meeting each other’s friends and initiating the process of weaving their established lives together.

About Us

As time went on Rebecca and Tim traveled, spent time with the Fugger and Griffin extended families, learned more about each other (AKA that Rebecca is actually not down to earth or edgy at all), and as cheesy as it, they fell more and more in love. In 2019 Rebecca accepted a job offer that would take her to London for work over the following 12 months. Tim and Rebecca jumped at the prospect for an adventure across the pond and put together a foolproof (HAHA) plan for how they would juggle the time, distance, and new opportunities. On one of Tim’s first visits to London, after dinner at their favorite restaurant Tamarind (now the name’s sake of their boat, Tami), he took her for a stroll across Westminster bridge and popped the most important question of their lives. And thus began the hardest and most complicated year of any of our lives- with Covid-19 stopping the spinning world in March. Rebecca decided not to stay in London while the country entered into lockdown and returned to the US. Rebecca and Tim cleared out of Chicago, heading to Nashville to wait out the madness. They canceled the wedding a couple of times, rescheduled, re-planned, and eventually, just wanting to be together, Rebecca and Tim went to the Nashville courthouse in August of 2020 and under the eyes of God and Judge Howard, entered into matrimony. The Fugger’s are now settled in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida, both working from home whilst enjoying the sunshine, ocean, and slower pace of life. Tim is trying to convince Rebecca to invest in a street legal golf cart and their cat murders about 12 lizards per day. They look forward to celebrating their new marriage in June with a vow ceremony at Trinity Presbyterian Church and small reception alongside immediate family. What God has joined together, let no man or pandemic put asunder.
