From Friday night lights at SLUH, to starting his own commercial real estate company, Nikko has always been a role model for Griffin (and the only other guy Griffin knows who has also torn his ACL 3 times). Nikko also deserves special credit for giving his "blessing" when Griffin mentioned he wanted to take Maria on their first date. Nikko lives in Nashville, TN and has a English Mastiff named Joe.

Bella is my younger sister and wise beyond her years. She's taller, a better singer, and a better dancer. Despite all of this, she's one of my favorite people and someone I could not live without. She was also in the running for Griffin's Best Man.

Matt Schumacker

Best Man

It's a miracle this friendship has survived despite countless, competitive driveway basketball games and arguments in a group chat with the other best man, Nikko. Schu has been a brother to Griffin since sophomore year in high school and is a great listener (if you can actually get him on the phone). Schu has a baby girl on the way with his wife, Molly, and you can catch him on various big-time networks broadcasting college sports.

One of Maria's closest friends from SMU. This girl appreciates the finer things in life, and has never met an espresso martini or charcuterie board she didn't like. I've sadly accepted we will never live in the same city again as she maintains the position that "California is the best state" and will never leave.

Joey Andrada

College football teammate, licensed architect, candy fiend, and first groomsman to become a father. Currently lives in ATL with his wife Shannon (also a former CU athlete), but he'll never drop his NorCal roots.

Took Maria under her wing when she transferred to SMU. Olivia is the kindest, most dependable person, and a walking encyclopedia. If you're looking to talk Finance at the reception, she's your girl. Unfortunately, her foot/ankle region is perpetually injured.

Con & Griff were a dynamic duo since they were in diapers, and nobody has a better knowledge of 2000s era rap. Although only second cousins by blood, Connor has always been a brother to Griffin. Hails from Believeland, Ohio.

Margaret Fuller

Margaret and Maria lived across the hall from each other as freshman but really hit it off later in college and decided to live together. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Margaret is as goofy as she is smart (Mechanical Engineer) and is randomly from Oklahoma which I love.

#86 played wideout for CU until he got benched for scoring a touchdown against Fordham. Lou aka Anthony is one of kind, known for his "funny run," hot takes, and put downs. He'll tell you Albany, NY is the greatest American city, but he currently resides in San Francisco with Erin, his soon-to-be wife.

Mimi was the first person I met at SMU. I was immediately drawn to her style & care-free attitude. For the next few years we did almost everything together, including but not limited to building Mimi's Ikea bed without directions. Also thinks California is the best state.

Daniel Jones

High school football teammates, neighbors, and a consistent third-wheel in Griffin & Maria's early stages. Daniel is the absolute life of the party, a recent grad of USC with a master's in strategic public relations, and an LA resident.

Katie McAuliffe

Brought together by Griffin and Katie's long time friendship, Katie and Maria instantly hit it off. Soon thereafter, Katie became a staple at Sansone family gatherings. Katie and Kevin (Groomsman) have a baby on the way, and Maria (only half joking) expects to be the God-Mother.

Offensive lineman for the CU lions turned engineer, and now also a father. Don't let this guy corner you at the reception - he's big, he's loud, and he won't back down about Waffle House. Georgia raised, now in NOLA with his wife Olivia and their son Harrison.

An experienced Flower Girl, Alayna was primed for this promotion. Alayna was really excited to be a Bridesmaid until she learned about the Maid of Honor role. She has let Maria know she wants to marry Griffin but is happy for her nonetheless.

Friends since freshman football at SLUH. Kevin is an extraordinary networker and as loyal as they come. Kev is married to Katie (one of the Bridesmaids) and has a baby on the way. He will never leave St. Louis.

Carmen Sansone

Maria's cousin and loyal friend. The two can be found together near the appetizer table at family events. Carmen always answers your call, makes a friend wherever she goes, and is always smiling.

College roommate for 3 years, football teammate, member of the flowin' 40s, and self-proclaimed Mr. Ohio. Mark has the patience of a monk, a lovely wife named Sarah, and parents with the same first names as the parents of the groom.

Maria's cousin and long time close friend. Nikki is a dependable and loving friend but an even better mom. She's tells it like it is, gives great advice, bullies Maria's dad, and tells funny stories that will leave you in tears.

Maria's younger (but much wiser) brother. Always up to date on the hottest TikTok trends and knows Missouri's municipalities and county boundary lines like the back of his hand. Currently resides in Huntleigh, MO, but hopes to one day settle down in Herculaneum, MO.

Recently named 30 Under 30 for her career achievements in the Nashville country music scene, Sophia is Maria's cousin and unbelievably supportive friend. From showing me around Nashville to cramming us in her shoebox dorm room, I have the best memories with Sophia that I will always cherish.

College rugby player at the University of Arizona, a true outdoorsman, and Maria's younger (but much stronger) brother. DJ enjoys late night bowls of cereal and any movie where the underdog wins.

Lauren Smith

Lauren and Maria did swim lessons together, went to high school together, and went to college together (but that one didn't quite last). Lauren is Maria's best friend (& roommate for the single semester Maria attended Miami of Ohio), will probably be the President one day, and loves a costume party.

Football and baseball teammates at SLUH. Paul has an infectious laugh, never turns down a nice stogey, and has run an Ironman and ULTRA marathon (something Griffin will NEVER do). Recently moved back to STL from Chicago.

Connor Frick

SLUH classmates and neighbors with Matt Schumacker until Connor left to pursue his hockey dreams, culminating in a college career at Middlebury. One day Griffin hopes to be able to invest in any business that Connor starts. Connor is currently in business school at WashU in St. Louis.

Collum Magee

Commonly referred to as Captain Sully, Collum and Griffin were co-captains for SLUH football and were in the same homeroom all four years. A graduate of West Point, Collum served overseas in Germany and Poland, and now resides in Colorado Springs with Ashley his fiance.

Zack McKown

The most eccentric of the bunch, Zack played tight end at Columbia and makes it his personal responsibility to keep Griffin humble. Zack has abnormally long legs, deep ties to Salt Lake City, and is personal friends with Karl Malone and John Stockton.

Nick Melka

After playing football together in college, Nick and Griffin were roommates in a cramped apartment in Midtown Manhattan. Nick is known for using his consulting prowess to execute large scale social events. Born and raised in Chicago, but luckily not a Cubs fan.
