Our journey began in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced us in high school. From the start, we knew our connection was special. In 2015, we were long-distance—Griffin was in Maine at Bridgeton Academy, and Jacquelyn was in North Carolina at High Point University. Many nights were spent talking and falling asleep to each other over Facetime. Despite the miles, our love never wavered. Determined to be closer, Jacquelyn transferred to UMass Amherst while Griffin started at Merrimack College. We balanced weekends together, built our own college experiences, and shared incredible travels across Europe, Canada, and the U.S. After graduation, Griffin pursued his master’s degree while Jacquelyn started her career. Finally, we lived just 30 minutes apart. In 2021, Jacquelyn adopted Finley, an Australian Shepherd, and a year later, Griffin moved in. Life’s simple joys—grocery shopping, working out, and even cleaning—became more meaningful because we were together. We have always had our goofy little traditions, but they have only gotten more prevalent since living together. Whether it's a strawberry shortcake on the first day of spring, or picking tens of pounds of blueberries in the early fall. In 2023, our little family grew with two kittens, Butter and Felix. On April 28, 2024, at Crane Beach, our favorite spot in Ipswich, MA, Griffin proposed, followed by a surprise engagement party with our closest family and friends. It was the perfect beginning to our next chapter. Since the first summer of our relationship, Griffin’s family lake house, officially titled the Camp House, has been our happy place—a retreat where we relax and spend time with friends and family. Many of our favorite memories come from times at the Camp House and the White Mountain region, so we knew we wanted to incorporate it into our wedding. When we toured Castle in the Clouds, we felt it captured some of the White Mountain charm and fell in love. That weekend, while staying at the Camp House, we had endless visions of our friends and family enjoying this future weekend with us. We hope you’ll take this weekend as an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors—whether it’s hiking, swimming, or boating—so you can experience some of our favorite things to do in this special region. Our dream is for you to feel similar joys that the Camp House has provided us. We can’t wait to celebrate our love story with you at our wedding! We created this website to share all the important details, including our gallery, wedding party, and weekend itinerary in the Lakes Region. We’re so excited for this day and can’t wait to dance the night away with you! - Jacquelyn & Griffin (and Finley, Butterball, and Felix too!)
