Morgan was living in Marshall in the Fall of 2017 and Dylan was working as a bartender at one of the two bars in town. One Sunday Funday later and they got to talking after a friend introduced them at the bar. All the sudden, he was gone and Morgan's friend came up and said "He said if you want to hang out that you should text him." Morgan asked if she had his number and she did not. Luckily Dylan was a realtor at the time and his face and name were on the napkin holders at the bar. A little Facebook stalking later, and Morgan was able to find him. To this day, Dylan can still tell you what Morgan was wearing the day they met.
We found a our first apartment in Sun Prairie, WI. Little did we know what Sun Prairie had in store for us. We had to go through more in our first nine months of dating than most couples go through in years. Although we went through hard times, it made us realize quickly just how much we could lean on each other in the good times and bad. Sun Prairie brought us immense loss and tragedy but also our first dog and college graduation.
After college graduation, Morgan landed her first nursing job at Froedtert in Milwaukee and Dylan was able to transfer to the sister company in Sussex. We knew it was best to move back home and save some money for a house. Maybe a blessing in disguise, we were able to save quickly and Dylan was able to build a wonderful relationship with Jeff and Carlene (whether he wanted to or not) since he had many nights alone with them when Morgan was working night shifts.
We closed on our first house in September 2020 and put so much work into it (along with many friends and family) to make it our home. After one week of being in our home we had our yearly trip to Door County planned... but... 2 days before we were supposed to leave, Morgan tested positive for COVID and we had to cancel. Little did she know Dylan was going to propose on that trip so needless to say, he was beyond bummed. Luckily we were able to reschedule 2 weeks later and the long-awaited day was here. At Cave Point County Park on the cliffs where we had taken pictures two years prior, Dylan dropped on one knee at the edge of a cliff. With a death grip on his shoulder, Morgan said yes! Wedding planning immediately began. In December, we also decided to add one more pup to our little family. We can't wait to spend our special day with you and continue our story. Love, Morgan and Dylan (Rizzo and Cash, too!)
