We first met in 2008, freshman year, because we lived on the same floor at Simpson Residence Hall at Loyola University. We were just friends, and with our roommates we would have smoothie night Wednesdays and many different adventures. After graduation in 2012, we lost touch with Michelle living in Northbrook and Dan living downtown. But we reconnected in 2015 when we went on a rafting trip in Northern Wisconsin. We were happy to reconnect and there was definitely something more than friendship, but were both unsure. After that, we went on a couple dates, but Dan decided to stop dating. Fast forwarding to 2017, Dan reached out to Michelle in April. After some apologies and justifiable torment by Michelle, we started dating again and started our relationship. Michelle believes Dan just needed to come to his senses. After almost two years of dating and 10 years of knowing each other, Dan decided to propose. Knowing Dan, he thinks things through and makes them big. Dan planned a cruise for both sets of parents and ourselves to go on. Michelle had stated that she always had wanted to visit the Bahamas. Dan asked for the Lee's blessing in December of 2018 and the cruise was in March of 2019. Dan organized a "tour" of the gardens at the Four Seasons Ocean Club on Paradise island. At the end of the tour, he could only manage to say "Your beautiful. I love you. I want to continue our adventures together and I want to grow old with you. Will you marry me?" Michelle said yes and now we would like you to join us for a day to celebrate our story and our stories with each of you as each of you have had an impact on us along the way. - D & M
