Michael and Melissa's story began in January 2021 during their senior year at Wake Forest when they got the same accounting internship. Even though they had been in countless classes together at Wake, their paths never fully crossed until they were coworkers at their PwC internship, where Michael made the first move by asking one of their coworker's for Melissa's number. From there, they were completely enamored with each other, falling asleep to their phone calls that would last until 4:00am. They graduated from Wake Forest together, completing their undergraduate and masters degrees and then moved on to Dallas, TX where they'd begin their journey living together. Michael promised Melissa a dog after one year of living together, but it really only took 3 months for their little pug, Spud, to join their family. After deciding the Texas heat was no longer for them and missing the beautiful mountains, green nature and homey vibes that North Carolina has to offer, they moved to Charlotte, NC in 2024. In July 2025, Michael asked Melissa to spend the rest of her life with him and she happily said yes at the beautiful Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica. Today they are happily in love, renovating their first home they recently bought with a big yard for Spud, spending time with friends and family, and so excited to spend forever together!
