Why Hawkesdene?
Answer
Hawkesdene offers the family & friends reunion style mountain weekend we were looking for to celebrate our marriage! We wanted the wedding to be an experience for all to enjoy that lasted more than one evening. We hope it allows everyone to have a memorable mountain getaway!

Are kids invited?
Answer
Yes! We hope families get to use this as an opportunity to have their own vacation experience in addition to celebrating our marriage with us. Your little ones will love the playhouse, alpaca/llama farm, board/lawn games, and numerous nature trails on the property!

How do I get to Hawkesdene?
Answer
The beauty and peacefulness of Hawkesdene is in part due to its private location in the mountains. Once you make it to the property, everything you need is onsite! There are numerous airport locations within a 2- and 3-hour drive, including Asheville, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Greenville-Spartanburg. We advise against driving from the Knoxville airport due to the dangerous winding roads to get to the venue. Please let us know if you are looking for a carpool buddy - we would be more than happy to help connect you with other guests traveling to and from the same airport!

How do I make my lodging reservation?
Answer
In order to secure lodging, please pay the lodging fee of $495 per adult on the Hawkesdene website "Make a Payment" page: https://www.hawkesdene.com/guest-payments/. Complete the form with your information and answer YES to being invited to a wedding or event at Hawkesdene. You will then find Miranda & Greyson - August 23, 2025 in the drop-down list. There is no additional payment for children, we simply ask you indicate how many are attending in your RSVP.

How do I choose my lodging?
Answer
We will be taking care of the lodging assignments for you, pairing families and friends in the rooms and cabins that fit them best. Of course, if you have requests of specific people you would like to be with, feel free to let us know.

What meals are included in the lodging fee?
Answer
Thursday dinner through Monday breakfast. The menu is chef-curated by Hawkesdene's culinary staff and can accommodate dietary restrictions. Breakfast is hearty including egg dishes, potato sides, meats, and breads. Lunch is picnic style foods like sandwiches, salads, chips, and cookies. Dinners include roasted and grilled meats, veggies, starch sides, and dessert. The wedding day, we will be hosting a specialty brunch including a Bloody Mary & Mimosa bar in addition to the traditional reception dinner. Hawkesdene is known for their food, and our photographer is quoted in saying "It's the best wedding food I've ever had!"
