Our story started through a dating app. After going through a few duds, Josh reached out to me. He said something corny, can’t remember what exactly, but I remember it made me laugh. So I decided to give him a chance 😄. After chatting on there for little, we decided to meet up in Colonial Williamsburg and walk around..get to know one another better face-to-face. When he first saw me he stuttered over his words. What I could make out was that my silhouette stood out to him. At the time the sun was setting behind me and all he could see was my shape and red hair. I found that extremely cute seeing him fumble. From there we walked around for a few hours. He did most of the talking and I listened. At the end of our first meeting he asked if I would like to see him again and I said yes. So here we are now…engaged, in love, and ready to say I do!
We had planned a family day trip to see the Natural Bridge in VA. Josh had never been but Reynah and I had. We all had been excited all week. However, I had gotten sick earlier in the week and there was a chance of rain the day we planned to go. Me being stubborn, I said I didn’t want to go in rain and cold and I put my foot down and said they could go without me. Josh and Reynah both looked disappointed. After a bit I changed my mind, looked at the forecast again and said it should be fine for most of the day..we can go. They were very happy. I never suspected anything. We made it to the welcome center and began the trail. Once we passed the bridge we veered off to this cave area. I had seen it before but Reynah and Josh were both trying to keep me there. To be honest I was getting annoyed because I wanted to keep going. Little did I know that Reynah was trying to distract me long enough for Josh to prepare. Reynah then physically turns me around and there I see him on his knee with a ring in his hand. I am stunned, my words escaped me, I stood ther in shock for about 10 seconds. When I could finally form words I said YES!!. After that they surprised me with a stay overnight in the Natural Bridge Hotel. They packed my bags without me knowing too. Oh and the rain held off until that night…
