Maid of Honor
We met on the first day of college, and my life has been more colorful ever since! Anna is one of the greatest storytellers, the best adventure buddy, and the ultimate hobbyist. Even though we live multiple states apart, we stay connected through podcast-length audio messages and celebrate every work trip that brings us to the same place. She is a true sister in Christ, offering beautiful scriptural wisdom and encouragement whenever my heart needs refreshing.
Best Man
Josh and I met our first week at Calvin but it wasn't until our routine walks together during Covid that we really grew close. Josh never relented at discouraging my scarf during the cold Michigan winters and has since not let me miss out on when my favorite sports teams lose. However, Josh has been the most supportive and encouraging friend in my life and if it weren't for him, I never would've had the bravery to shoot way out of my league with Gretchen! Josh is truly a brother in Christ and has always been a great encourager of my faith.

B has been in my life since we were seven, running wild in the church basement! She’s been my partner in soccer seasons, our very own cooking show experiments, 8th-grade musicals, youth group mission trips, and even as my college roommate. God gave Brenna an extra dose of love and hospitality—she’s the ultimate gift-giver and one of the most generous, kindhearted people I’ve ever known. I feel so lucky to have shared all these adventures with her!
Groomsman
Jake and I immediately connected over a shared love of music, soccer, and video games. He has been the most steady and stable friend over the last 7 years of my life, always encouraging me and spurring my on in my faith. Forever will we share our love for soccer, our enjoyment of playing games together, and the joy of being able to sit next to each other in silence for hours on end!

Elly and I spent a week being best friends at the age of 4 and then re-kindled the friendship our senior year of high school. The list of things I admire about Elly is long but things that stand out would be her persistent prayer life, humble spirit, and courage to always call me higher, even when it’s hard. She is a dear friend and I also have the gift of calling her roommate in this season!

Mattia must be one of the most patient and kind people I know. His heart has never faltered from being a kind soul who is compassionate for others. He has been the best younger brother I could've asked for, always putting up with all of me when we were younger and challenging me to reach my potential as a man. Always an open ear and always up for an adventure. I'm also thankful for a younger brother who pursues Christ in a holistic way for his life.
Bridesmaid
We met freshman year of college and quickly began a tradition of eating grilled cheese and tomato soup together every Wednesday, before later living in the same house during our junior and senior years at Calvin. She always has an encouraging word and gently points me toward wisdom in Scripture with grace and understanding. Carissa also asks the best questions, and after every conversation with her, I walk away learning how to be a better friend to others.

An older brother through and through, Andrea has never once hesitated when it has come to protecting me. Also as an older brother, he has never failed to correct me when I've done something stupid. Truly a lovely balance as we have grown up together and have seen the best and worst of each other. He is a dedicated and hard working man who has always modeled to me working hard even if you have the talent. I am thankful for the ways he has always pushed me to be better, even if I disagreed.

At a time in life when we were both seeking community, our church placed us in the same small group—and it has been the gift that keeps on giving! She crushes it at pickleball and is the inspiration behind many of my outfits. Shelby has a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved. It’s been such a gift to lead alongside her through seasons of singleness, dating, and now engagement and marriage.

[From Gretchen] My dearest and only brother! Joel is one of the kindest, smartest, and most patient people I know. His sense of humor is wonderfully silly, and to this day, I keep a running list of the funniest things he’s said. No one has a more loyal heart than my big brother! He is currently crushing it in medical school and now I’m thankful that I have a doctor to text when I think I’m getting [insert any illness] and he responds with the best advice!
Bridesmaid
[From Luca] My dear older sister, Micaela has been the most loving sister I could've asked for. She has patiently and lovingly grown up with three younger brothers and has always loved us despite how much we pestered her. It has been a gift to grow with her and see her high achieving personality shine as well as how much she quietly cares for others. Never enjoying being the center of attention, Micaela has always modeled quiet service, even if at times it is begrudgingly.

What a man who I am blessed to call my brother-in-law. We always pondered over who Micaela would marry and often struggled to imagine someone.... Until we met Erik [the viking] Sundstrom. Erik is the kindest and gentlest man as well as the most competitive and excited person in any board game, card game, or sports game! I couldn't of dreamed of a better man to marry my sister and I am so thankful it was Erik.
