We kindly ask that you arrive 15-30 minutes early. This allows plenty of time to park, sign the guest book, find your seat, and get settled before the processional starts. We kindly ask that guests keep noise to a minimum while entering the church to help maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere before the ceremony starts.
Yes! Our wedding will take place rain, shine, or snow. We encourage guests to allow extra travel time and drive carefully if winter weather is expected.
We invite our guests to dress in semi-formal wedding attire as you would for a traditional wedding celebration. Since our wedding will be held in December in South Dakota, we also recommend bringing a warm coat and dressing appropriately for winter weather. While the ceremony and reception will be indoors, you may spend some time outside traveling between locations or entering and exiting the venues.
We're choosing to wait until the ceremony to see each other for the first time, so we will not be doing a first look before the wedding. Because of this, most of our formal photos will be taken after the ceremony. We appreciate your patience while we capture these special memories before joining the celebration. If you're looking for ways to spend time during the gap, be sure to check out the "Things to Do" tab on our website for local recommendations. We can't wait to celebrate with you at the reception!
