Connor and Micah met the first day of Kindergarten in class with Brett and next door to Kawika's class. From birthdays at Malaekahana to Paddling at Punahou and Lanikai to sharing a small cabin for two summers at Treetops, Connor has always been a loyal friend. Similarly to Micah, he moved for love to a place with the opposite climate from Hawai'i, Buffalo, New York.
Zach Eklov
Man of Honor
Zach has supported Greta through thick and thin ever since they met freshman year at Hamline University. As roommates for five years and best friends ever since, Zach and Greta have seen each other through some critical years in life. International studies abroad, multiple cross country moves and countless frogs kissed—their friendship has never wavered. Some may call is co-dependence... but they call it platonic soulmates.
Griffin Konkler
Groomsman
Griffin is Greta's brother and quickly became Micah's friend. Griffin and Greta have always been close siblings and friends, young children at Camp Treetops to teenagers running around Duluth. Greta and Griffin were also roommates for a year in their twenties! Griffin is known for his epic guitar skills—Greta and Griffin have always shared a love of music. He has always been a super supportive brother to Greta and it means so much to her that he is a part of the wedding.
Nai'a Turner
Bridesmaid
Nai'a was Micah's first creative partner - they built forts in their parents' living room for their stuffed animals. Then - when the Turners arrived at Treetops, Greta was Nai'a's first friend. They even froze Micah's underwear and hung it outside as a prank. Nai'a has supported Micah and Greta in all things Star Wars and family, while still maintaining her roots in Hawai'i.
Gabriel Konkler

Gabriel, Greta’s second brother, is known for his silly sense of humor and kind, selfless spirit. Gabriel has always been a supportive sibling to Greta and became great friends with Micah from the start. Gabriel is a master of bikes, and has helped repair many of Greta’s friends bikes over the years. Gabe is also an amazing FUNcle to Greta and Micah’s rascal dogs Miki and Pearl. Greta and Micah absolutely love hanging out with Gabriel and his partner, Amber, who is also in the wedding party!
Amber Todd

Amber and Greta immediately bonded the first day of freshman orientation when they found each other as two needles in a haystack—both grew up in Northern Minnesota AND have a strong connection to the Adirondack Mountains in Lake Placid, NY. They soon learned that was just the beginning of their common interests as outdoorswomen and girly girly's all at once (a magical combination!) Growing up with only brothers, Greta has always considered Amber her sister.
Kawika Bell
Groomsman
Kawika and Micah first became close friends in fifth grade at Punahou where Kawika taught Micah how to cuss. They've bonded over their years over their shared love of Star Wars, Legos and blink-182. Kawika's wife Allison was kind enough to let Micah live with them when he lived in San Francisco, where Micah and Allison forced Kawika to become a Bachelor fan. Kawika enjoys long walks along the Embarcadero in his current home of San Francisco.
Betty Taylor

Betty is Greta’s best friend from her childhood years in Duluth, Minnesota. Betty and Greta became friends in middle school and were inseparable ever since! They’ve spent hours of practicing violin and were both in orchestra from sixth grade until high school graduation, giggling their way through Sterling Strings practice and out of state orchestra trips. Betty is an amazing friend to Greta, laughing together in the good times and crying on each other’s shoulders during the tough times. No matter the distance between them, Greta and Betty always pick up right where they left off.
Brett Carter

Brett was in Mrs. Nu'uhiwa's Kindergarten class with Connor and Micah. Through years of playing Water Polo together and forming their first band with Kawika, Enraged Hippopotamus, Brett and Micah have continued their friendship into adulthood. Brett has even contributed to the Hawai'i takeover of Camp Treetops as a counselor for 2 summers, though he said its weight room was lacking. Currently, you can find Brett reenacting Baywatch on a daily basis as a Beach Lifeguard in Honolulu.
Madeline Jefferson

Madeline, or MJ, was Greta’s very first friend when she moved to Duluth at age eleven. They were assigned sixth grade locker partners and quickly became close friends. Also in orchestra together for seven years, Greta and Madeline were violin partners and laughed their way through practices and sometimes even performances (sorry Mr. Eskola!) Madeline is known for her sense of humor, great vintage fashion, and her incredible dog Mae who is friends with Miki and Pearl. Madeline is also a great friend to Micah and has bonded with him over woodworking, even making a coffee table together at one point. Madeline is such a supportive friend and Greta is so excited to have her as part of the wedding!
Mark Simpson
Groomsman
Mark, or Turbo, was one of Micah's first friends at Cornell. While students together, Mark spent winter breaks in Hawai'i becoming close friends with all of the Turners. Similarly, Mark's family has always welcomed Micah when he makes the journey to the East Coast. Mark has taught Micah to lean into his inner nerd and his sensitive side, while continuing a longstanding tradition of sending memes with no context. Mark spends his days finding new medical treatments in New Jersey.
Bre Moulder

Bre and Greta also became friends during their awkward middle school years in Duluth. Greta remembers being in seventh grade English with Bre and thinking she was way too cool to be friends with her. Turns out, they actually became great and friends and have many laughs throughout the years! Bre is known for her fierce loyalty to her friends and has been there for Greta during the ups and downs of their twenties. Greta has always said that if she needed to bury a body… Bre would be the first friend she’d call for help. Speaking of which, Bre is known for throwing an epic themed party, even famously throwing herself a funeral for her twenties on her thirtieth birthday.
