Greta's POV: Shew, I still get goose bumps when I think about the first time I met Jarrod. I was at a party for a mutual friend, when he walked in. The hairs on my neck stood up like spidy-sense and there was instant connection. We went on about our business and then he was gone. After that feeling, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Fast forward a month or so, I was on a girl's trip with this mutual friend. I asked her, "Hey, do you still see that Jarrod guy from the party?" She replied, "Jarrod? Burton?! Oh no no, we're just friends! He was actually asking questions about you, and left early because he didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable when he started hitting on you!" My jaw hit the floor. What?! Him? Me? There is no way, this wasn't happening. The man of my dreams was asking about me? I needed a drink. Well, after this drink and a pep talk from the mutual friend, I sent him a friend request over Facebook. He instantly replied, "Hey, stranger!" That was that. We chatted for a few months, getting to know one another, and he convinced me to visit Morgantown. Never having left the tri-cities alone, I was a little nervous. But I made the 310 mile trip up the mountain, never looking back! We decided to do long distance while he was finshing his masters at WVU. Then, when WVU hired him to be a full-time coach, we decided it was time for me to make a more permanent trip. So I moved to Morgantown, January of 2019. He bought us a fixer upper that following July, and now we're cozied up in our cabin in the woods, just living the dream as some might say. We sure are head over boots! We're so excited for this wedding and we hope you will come join us and enjoy the party! Covid definitely put a damper on parties but the farm has 1000 acres, so there is plenty of room for distanced fun if you'd prefer.
