As most young people who don't have very many options in real life, we met via a dating app. We both swiped left long enough to find the gem beneath all the rubble, each other. After a couple of weeks of courting via text, we went on our first date in St.Petersburg, FL on September 18th, 2017. Our first stop was at Three Daughter's Brewery followed by some food at Hawker's Street Food. We drove separately from the brewery to the restaurant and found out some time later that we were both worried the other wouldn't show. Thankfully, we were both smitten within the first few minutes of talking so we probably sped to the restaurant to continue our date. After that first date, Joey wined and dined Gren for what felt to her like forever because he wanted to make sure he was a perfect gentleman. Gren worried they were just friends. Luckily, after a friend's halloween party which supplied Joey with some liquid courage he made his first move and they shared a sweet first kiss. Joey asked Gren to become his girlfriend shortly after and the rest is history. Since then, they've traveled to lots of cool places together, become business partners, bought a home together, taken on many home improvement projects, adopted the sweetest pup and kitty, made several big career moves, and most importantly, shared many laughs and sweet moments together. They can't wait to finally become husband and wife and begin their journey as a married couple in front of their closest family and friends.

Joey proposed to Gren on February 5th, 2023 in Bok Tower Gardens. One of Gren's New Year's Resolution for 2023 was to visit more gardens and state parks so that she could take pictures with her new film camera. Joey had suggested earlier that week that they should go to Bok Towers. Gren loved the idea because this had been a place they had tried to go on a date to very early on in their relationship but never made it because they got rained out at the time. They were bummed when they ended up having to redirect their plans back then so they were committed to coming back another day. Another day came about 5 years later when Joey chose it as the place he wanted to propose. When they arrived at Bok Towers, they were immediately struck with its beauty. Gren grew up about 30 minutes from this place and had heard good stuff about it but had no idea how breathtaking it was. This is your sign to visit if you have not. Anyways, they get there and admire the gardens and the architecture. They made their way to the Retiro Mansion where Joey led them to the back where there was a beautiful picnic set up with a sign that read "will you marry me". Joey turned around, pulled out a ring, and got down on his knee to pop the question. To this day Gren swears she heard Joey say "Grenny Maria Sandwich" but Joey is firm that it's not what he said...whatever. Gren excitedly and with tears in her eyes said yes. A few seconds after, Gren sees what she thinks are paparazzi swarming them with cameras but it was really their family and two close friends who were hiding behind the bushes capturing the moment. They hugged, they cried, laughed, and Facetimed others who weren't there. Afterwards, they enjoyed a picnic full of goodies from Orlando Picnic Pop Up. Afterward, they headed to Gren's parents house where the rest of their family waited for them to celebrate their engagement.
