Nestled in the Fauxquets Valley in the heart of Guernsey countryside and with distant views of the English Channel, the Meller family farm has become established as the home of Rocquette Cider. James will share the cider making process with us and we will get to taste some of their award-winning ciders, alongside some local cheese and their early foray into honey making. We are providing a bus service to shuttle people between the Hougue Du Pommier Hotel and the farm; but if you to prefer to drink and drive responsibly you can also meet us there. The tour starts at 3pm and takes about 3 hours. We will start with a tour weaving through the apple trees and orchards ending at the farm house with music and tastings. In the evening we will have dinner at The Rockmount; a family gastro pub overlooking Cobo beach on the stunning west coast of Guernsey and within walking distance of the Hougue du Pommier and surrounding area. Fermain Bay walk

We want to enjoy one of our favourite parts of Guernsey with you. A coastal walk followed with food & drinks in Fermain Bay. The walk is just under 2 miles and takes about one hour; a steep climb out of the town and quite a number of steps on the route. You can join us for the hike or meet us directly at The Beach Café. La Valette Bathing Pools built in 1859 and were used by such illustrious bathers as Monet and Victor Hugo. Clarence Battery was built in the 19th century can still be seen today; alterations were made during the Occupations when it was used for the German Luftwaffe. The Ozanne steps is a set of about 80 steps leading downwards; originally built to enable a former Governor and his wife to bathe in privacy. The internationally-recognised, award winning Fermain Beach Café has been a long standing favourite with locals and visitors alike. With a beautiful location, stunning views and excellent food! The Café was founded by a Portuguese immigrant who married his German wife. They will be our hosts and they will be serving drinks & snacks. After a few hours we will head back to the Hougue du Pommier hotel to get changed and start a summer BBQ.

We would like to have a lighthearted evening ahead of our big day. As an option we would like to invite you to choose summer colors of the rising and setting sun. Its summer and we want you to glow in bright colors with us! You can pick any shade from sunrise to sunset. If its’ warm enough guys are also welcome to wear shorts while we gather by the hotels terrace and pool area.

Weather permitting our ceremony will be outside in the gardens of the Hougue du Pommier. Ladies will want to avoid high heels and wear something that will be suitable for walking on the grass.

Please arrive at your leisure and join us within the restaurant and bar area of the Hougue du Pommier. Some guests have told us they are also staying in Guernsey Sunday; and so we may head to the beach or take a stroll across to Lithou Island in the afternoon...
