From Micah's perspective: Praise God for our Church family. Before February of 2024, Natalie was a girl I only knew in passing. Our family of churches hosts a regional campus ministry conference twice a year and my earliest memories of Natalie were seeing her hard at work at these events, planning fun events, booking conference centers, and helping college students fall in love with Jesus. I was impressed by Natalie from the first time I saw her, but I never dreamed she would be interested in me in a million years. Natalie is and always has been WAY out of my league. In February of 2024 we were at a campus retreat, both in charge of various aspects of the conference, and I dropped the ball on something and it fell on Natalie and inconvenienced her in a big way. I confronted her in the lunch room, and apologized for my mistake, and then we had a conversation in the lunch line where we shared testimonies and I remember admiring so much how open and vulnerable she was, as well as how much she had sacrificed for Jesus and for other Christians she loves dearly. That weekend we became friends, and shared a lot of laughs and good conversations. It wasn't until March that a mutual friend mentioned that I should get to know Natalie and that she was single. Deep in my heart I started to grow hope that maybe Natalie could be the girl I had been praying for all these years. March, we had a phone call that felt like meeting your best friend. April, I told every person I could think of that I had a crush on her. In June, we met at a ministry training conference and sparks flew as we went on a first date. I knew that night that Natalie would be one of my greatest friends. In July, it was LITERAL, SPIRITUAL, and FIGURATIVE FIREWORKS for our second date, and I was enamored in ways I had never felt before. I knew I wanted to give us a shot, so in August I took her to the highest elevation point in the Appalachian Mountains, and asked her to be my girlfriend, and somehow, it was only up from there. God blessed us and fanned our love into a blaze, over difficult long distance, one heart thumping road trip at a time Natalie became my partner on an adventure completely orbiting our King Jesus. When God made it clear that we were meant to be together and that our love would be a story for his Glory and his Kingdom, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and bought a ring. The same conference center where we first became friends became the same place I put that ring on her finger. Natalie is the sweetest gift and I am the luckiest man alive. God has been so kind to give me a woman like her. Thanks for reading our story and we hope you will stick around for the next chapter! Natalie and I owe everything to our King Jesus. We are so grateful we get to serve him together for the rest of our lives, and we hope our love can point to the eternal love he has for his church. Jesus is our eternal groom, and we his radiant bride.
