FAQs

If you have any other questions than what is listed below, don't hesitate to reach out to Shea or Sammantha.
Question

Are my children allowed to attend the Happily Ever After Celebration (HEAP)?

Answer

With 5 kids of our own, there's no way we could say no to other kiddos. Please just let us know how many kids when you RSVP.

Question

How will this be different from a traditional ceremony/reception?

Answer

Look at it this way, we took care of the paperwork, so all you need to do is join us for the party. There will still be a first dance and cake cutting, maybe even some speeches. We still want to celebrate with everyone and know that the party is the best place to be.

Question

Why did you do ceremony separate?

Answer

In recent months, there has been a rising conversation about removing the rights for queer/same sex couples to legally get married. Though the future of LGBTQ+ rights are still up in the air, we wanted to leave nothing to chance. We talked about it and we decided that we deserve the chance to get married like any other happy couple and have it recognized.

Question

Are there places to stay near the venue in Saint Paul?

Answer

Yes! Saint Paul has numerous places to stay including hotels and airbnbs alike. We don't have a room block set at any one place because we understand budgets vary. If there are recommendations you would like we are more than happy to provide those.

Question

I can't figure out how to RSVP but want to come, what do I do?

Answer

No worries whatsoever! Please feel free to contact Shea or Sammantha and they will record your response.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Short answer... Yes and No. We have a pretty established house and so in lieu of wedding gifts, we are going to have a Family "Honeymoon" Fund. We understand giving money doesn't feel personal but consider this. We are a family of 7 and prices are on the rise, so things like family vacations are tough. So your donation to the fund would truly be a gift for a family of our size.
