One random day in May I got a message on a dating app I was on just because. It wasn't just a normal pick-up line. It was a very sweet one, so I messaged back. and we hit it off. So, few days later we met up and hung out for a bit. Met his two adorable boys. Several days go by we would talk on the phone all the time, Normal beginning of a relationship spark. Except he was different. I know a lot of people say that about the spouse but, He really is. When I first met Greg my very abusive ex still had his stuff at my place and was supposed to be coming to get it all. It didn't end well, and shit happened. One day he stayed over and was going to take me to work the next day and then go back home. I just didn't feel safe at my own place well the next morning Greg moved me in with him, after only me together for two weeks. All my stuff fit in the bed of his pickup. as we were leaving my ex was pulling in to pull some shit. Here we are 5 years later and still together. After moving in at the 2-week mark. This man showed me what real love feels like. and made me feel wanted. His boys made me feel loved. I am so happy that I get to call them my sons. He supports me and I am lucky to have him.

So, I already knew he was going to propose, just didn't know when. we even looked at rings, I even went with him to ring size place. I even know when he bought it and ring was in the house but, never peeked and I am glad I didn't. On our 4 year anniversary I was getting ready to go on our movie date, we did it ever year. He kept coming to check if I was almost done. When I was done he handed me a piece of paper that he had wrote on. he did this silly little scavenger hunt around the house. at the end was a gift I had to open with my eyes closed and put it on without looking. and had to take a picture, still not looking. He made me a t-shirt that asked if I would marry him. He is the sweetest. so, for my engagement ring he had bought me a sapphire gemstone ring. symbolizing for my mom, since I had lost her in 2014. It was so I could always have her with me through this next journey of our life. He also had got me a matching necklace with it. Then we went on our movie date and dinner. I feel like I have known him my whole life. I can't wait to finally get married to him. I love him with all my heart.
