Shenandoah National Park
Tons of hiking, and lovely overlooks off of Skyline Drive, if you're lucky you might even see some bears! Be sure to check Shenandoah's website for any road closures before you head into the park.
Luray Caverns
Greg and Nora have visited Luray Caverns and highly recommend it, if you're not wanting to take a hike in Shenandoah during the summer heat, Luray gives you a cooler experience, while still feeling "outdoorsy."
Oldtown Alexandria
It was in this city where Greg and Nora met for their first date and where we took our engagement photos. There are loads of options for activities here. Also an excellent option if you flew in from DCA or IAD.
Washington, D.C.
An obvious option, especially if you fly in from DCA or IAD, stop on our way out, or stay for 4th of July fireworks in our Nations capitol. Greg and Nora have shared many a dates here.
Old Town Manassas
Want to visit a tiny little old town we've frequented many of times? Stop off here, and see its adorable train station, and colonial red brick buildings. Best choice if you've been to D.C. and Alexandria, and do not prefer outdoorsy activities such as Shenandoah. Bonus points for being relatively close to Dulles airport.
