We were juniors at Bridgewater State University and we just happened to have two classes together. Kasey loves to talk, so she said hello and introduced herself to Greg one day in the hall. Greg thought she was really weird for randomly talking to him, but was clearly intrigued. He made up a story about not knowing anyone else in the class and asked for her number so he could text her for "help with homework." LIES. One day Kasey invited Greg to stop by the radio station on campus to hang out since she had a shift after class. Greg couldn't make it but used the opportunity to ask Kasey out to lunch the next time she was on campus. Neither one of us knew that the simple lunch date at the dining hall would turn into so much more.
Lord knows he took his time, but this proposal was one for the books. First stop: BSU. Greg brought Kasey to the building we had our first class together, the hallway she first said hello, and the EXACT table we sat at for our lunch date at Bear’s Den. Second stop: TGIF in Plymouth. This is where we had our first official date off-campus and Greg ordered the chicken tenders, making Kasey fall in love with him instantly. Third stop: Plymouth waterfront. We love Plymouth and spent about an hour just walking around and people watching. Fourth stop: Round Hill Beach in Dartmouth. Greg told Kasey he had one more surprise hidden in the trunk. It was a box of mementos he’d collected over the years and he wanted to look at the cards, ticket stubs, and other odds and ends. Kasey gladly obliged and spent way too much time reading every single thing. Greg insisted on taking a walk, so they started walking toward the last lifeguard chair. That’s when Greg asked to take a photo of Kasey facing the water. While she tried to fix her hair and be picture-ready, he was getting ready to get down on one knee. Kasey turned around and Greg asked the most important question that Kasey (and everyone else) had been waiting a very long time for him to ask. She said yes!
