I am not sure either of us could count the amount of times we have been asked "how did you guys meet?" but we will put it here in writing for everyone to see. In March of 2016, Greg attended a party with all of his friends down in Bowling Green, OH. That night, Greg met a "Haylee" that he later went to add on Snapchat. 2,247 miles away sat me (a Haylee, but not the one who attended that same party in Bowling Green) in my living room with all my roommates in Whittier, CA. I glanced down at my phone to see that "gregsimpson415" had added me on Snapchat. I did not think much off it. In fact, I believed it was a kid I had gone to high school with. That was until I received over 100 Snapchats within 3 days of Greg and his (now) best man heading down to Daytona for Spring Break. I quickly realized that I: 1) had no idea who "gregsimpson415" was and 2) had no idea where he lived (because it was clearly not California). Meanwhile, Greg sent Snapchat after Snapchat wondering why he was getting no response. Finally, I sent him a chat - "i'm sorry, but I don't think I know who you are." We spent the next several months to a year texting and Facetiming on and off. Neither of us thought much of it due to the fact that we lived on separate ends of country. That was until June of 2017. Greg headed to Las Vegas with some friends to celebrate his 21st birthday. I also made my way to Las Vegas, but to coach a weekend long softball tournament. As I was driving, I opened Greg's Snapchat story to see that he was in Vegas. I sent Greg a chat that said "there is no way you are in Vegas right now." Sure enough, the two people who accidentally met on Snapchat a little over a year prior, wound up in Las Vegas at the same time. The day after I arrived in Vegas and spent the WHOLE day in 110 degree weather coaching softball (without sunscreen), we arranged to grab dinner and a drink. And here we are... Over 4 years later :)
