Take a stroll along the river, where many dog owners and photographers will be taking in the sights themselves! We've fantasized about living in one of the many unique river-side homes, they're gorgeous!!! We often begin our walk at the Stone River venue.
This is on the opposite side of the river as the Riverwalk Park, and has beautiful homes, and a bit of a quieter atmosphere
This is an adorable market set up most Saturdays. Artists, jewelry makers, and tasty food booths are set up here for just one morning a week.
It's a stretch on Gervais Street that includes some of the best restaurants and boutiques. It's picturesque, and perfect for an evening stroll.
It's a great zoo! It's smaller than those big city things you may be used to... But it has plenty of it's own charms!
It's beautiful and romantic, what else could you want?
It's big, it's pretty, the art exhibits are frequently rotated out, and you've got to see that wicked observatory. Check it out!
This is where we celebrated both our engagement and the gender of our baby. The food is great, but otherwise it was such a random choice! It's right across the street of the Zale's where we bought Hannah's engagement ring. It's just a fun sports bar-like place, but it's become special to us.
It's our favorite Mexican restaurant, try the Burrito California, and the steak/shrimp fajitas! SO YUMMY! But don't you dare go without getting queso blanco dip... It's the only reason Hannah goes to Mexican restaurants. She will heavily judge you if you don't eat the HECK out of it!
If you're itching for some fresh pizza that even slightly compares to back home in Connecticut, go here and only here. Gregory advises you that it won't be the same, but it's the closest you could get!
Do we have to say anything else?
Whos says it's just for children, eh? This is Hannah's guilty pleasure. She just can't wait to have young children to bring, so she doesn't look so weird...
If you don't have one back home, you should go! It's easy arcade fun, with batting cages, go-carts, rock walls, and a cute little mini-golf range.
You wanna just hike through a forest, this is your place. The trees are huge and beautiful, and there's perfect spots for picnicking and canoeing!
This is pretty self-explanatory, you drink, eat, and throw axes... Does that sound strange and random but... Super fun? That's cause it totally is.
This is in the heart of Downtown Columbia, right by the beautiful UofSC campus. It's a stretch of gorgeous homes, including one that houses the governor! The Lace House right across from that, would have been our chosen wedding venue. But, once you see it you'll realize why we couldn't get our hands on it even if we wanted to! Yeah, it's quite exclusive.
