Gregory and I were each other's first love. We met through our mutual cousin, T.K. We talked for a long time over the phone until we finally made a date to see each other in person. It was on Gregory's birthday, March 30, 2000. The plan was to meet up at the mall, but my mom was busy and didn't take me. I was so mad that I went to sleep, then I heard the doorbell ring, and it was him. When I saw him, I was like, 'Damn, he's cute,' but he's short. Oh well. We were inseparable after that because all we wanted to do was be around each other all the time. Our parents made sure we saw each other, no matter what, because if we didn't see each other, it was a big problem. Both sets of parents loved us both, and they didn't have a problem with us seeing each other. Our cousin, T.K., was mad at me, saying I took his cousin away from him because he didn't have time for him anymore. We grew apart and went our separate ways in life. We stayed in contact and tried many times to get back together throughout the years, but I felt he wasn't ready for me. So, in 2022, Gregory reached out to me on Facebook, and I was single at that time, and I was excited to hear from him after so many years. We exchanged numbers, and we talked all the time, and I went to see him. He told me, 'I'm not letting you go again,' and we've been inseparable again. I'm glad I'm marrying my first love, and I'm still shocked about us being back together and doing life together as adults this time around.
