Our Story

The Wedding Website of Gregory May and Anika Schaedle
- From "Would you like to go on a date?" to "Will you marry me?" –

.

.

Our story begins with a match followed by a message from Anika, asking Greg "would you like to go on a date?". He said "yes!", of course (I mean, how could he say no to someone as perfect as Anika). They hit it off and went on a second date, third date, and so on. On the first few dates, Greg would pick up Anika at the T stop with a Polar seltzer for her. It was a small way of showing Greg's affection to her in the same small ways Anika showed her affection to him. Years later, Greg started thinking of how to pop the question; luckily, there was an "end of summer celebration" with friends that he and Anika could go to, or at least that is what Anika thought (spoiler alert, there was no "end of summer celebration"). This celebration just so happened to be where some of their first dates were, so Greg thought he could pick up Anika after work at the T, just like old times. This time Greg brought a special seltzer, Diamond Dust, a new hard seltzer from Polar.

They arrived early to this "end of summer celebration", but Greg brought a surprise picnic for the two of them to share at the beach before their friends got there. Part way through eating, and wondering when their friends were coming, Anika got curious to try this new seltzer. The pull tab was missing on the one Anika grabbed (odd..), so Greg used the can opener he brought and started to open the can. With the can partially opened, Anika took a sip, as did Greg...but then Greg noticed something rattling in the can. He opened the can more and then started pouring out the contents, to Anika's horror. She blurted, "what are you doing- is something wrong with the selzer?". But mid-crisis, she saw a shimmer in the can and clearly saw what Greg was doing. That shimmer was the diamond engagement ring in the Diamond Dust seltzer. Greg got down on one knee, with the ring in hand, and asked Anika "will you marry me?". She said "yes!", of course (I mean, how could she say no to someone as perfect as Greg). With the last sunset of the summer behind them, they were both excited to be newly engaged and start planning their wedding. If you read this far, this is where you enter the story. Greg and Anika both hope to see you at their wedding. Their family and friends shaped them to who they are (they would not be the perfect people they are without you, so thanks for that), so it's only fitting for you to come and celebrate their marriage.
