A great place to do some shopping and have lunch. This area has a mall, movie theater and great restaurants to choose from. We had our first Five Guys lunch date here. Greg had never eaten here before.. now it's one of his favorite places to get a bite to eat. Yummy cheeseburgers and excellent strawberry shakes. Their soda dispenser has EVERY flavor of soda pop at your fingertips (free refills)!
We went hiking here for Jessica’s 38th birthday. It’s an easy walk to the top. Once at the top you have a great view of downtown Riverside. The most famous marker at the top is Riverside’s historical cross. Oh and sunset night hikes make for a memorable experience.
This historical site, now a hotel, is located in Downtown Riverside. Though we've never taken a tour here, we have visited this area in December. Not only do they decorate the hotel, but they decorate the whole downtown area. It's a good way to get into the holiday spirit. Walk downtown and gaze at all the decorations while enjoying a variety of tasty treats from the vendors.
Of course there's Anchos! If you didn't get enough of their food, or would like to try out their menu more, of course we recommend coming here. The atmosphere is casual, fast-paced, and definitely family-friendly. Go comfortable and enjoy their homemade tortillas made right in front of you. I hear they have the best Cadillac Margaritas!
Our very first picture of us as a couple was at Huntington Beach. (Picture above) Even in December, the weather can be nice just to get out and about. There are little shops if you're looking for souvenirs. Looking to grub or grab a snack? There are a few nice restaurants close to the pier. This drive is only about an hour away.
