It was early September of 2020 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Emily had just received a bid for her sorority, Alpha Phi, and was getting dinner with her pledge class at a Mexican restaurant, El Torero’s. While there, her friend grabbed her and asked her to go “talk to the boys” with her, referring to the group of Sigma Nu guys that were also at the restaurant. Emily walked into the room that they were in, and a couple minutes later, Luke walked up to Emily to strike up a conversation. That convo turned into the two of them hanging out consistently for the next three weeks, and on September 24th, Luke asked Emily to be his girlfriend. Little did these college kids know, they would be getting married almost 6 years later!
