That we do! You could call it Medieval: Robyn will resemble a prettified dragon and Gregg will don armor. Our decor is a mishmash of roses, gothic, and all-around nerdy fun, and the theme colors are red and black, with silver accents (and gold and pearlescent sub-accents, so lots of variety).
Only if you want to! We don't EXPECT anyone to run around in Renn. Faire clothes with us, but anyone is welcome to surprise us ;). We'll also most likely make the reception a masquerade! Only a mask is required (that covers the eyes and bridge of the nose, but no mascot-like or full masks, please), but you're welcome to theme your outfit or go all-out, if you'd like.
We would prefer just one guest per invited person—our venue is small, and our budget is even smaller.
Nope, sorry. Out of respect to loved ones staying away from alcohol, as well as certainty for good, clean fun, we won’t be serving alcohol or similar whatsoever. We also request no one brings any—we don’t want it there and the venue won’t legally allow it.
Also no, sorry. While the venue allows it in one small spot outside, many of our friends and family are sensitive to or allergic to cigarette smoke and vape smoke (including the bride, who stops breathing from cigarette smoke and blacks out from vape smoke). However, you can smoke in your car!
Honestly, we would love any of the above! The items on our registry(s) would be appreciated, especially the Disney gift cards, but gift cards and cash are definitely always wonderful, too!
It's okay! We want to have a live feed for those who can't be here in person. Simply RSVP that you can't make it but want to see it. We'll post the link on Facebook closer to the wedding so none are left out.
Since we're doing all this by hand, we'll let you know! We're always glad and grateful to have an extra set of hands. (See also, "Do you prefer a physical gift, gift card, or cash?")
At the reception, the crowd will welcome the wedding party in by shooting straw wrappers (a favorite shenanigan of the bride and groom). The straws can then be used throughout the reception. For the end photos, where the bride and groom "leave", the venue will provide bubble machines. Our venue doesn't allow rice, confetti, or glitter.
