Shem Creek flows through the heart of Mt. Pleasant and is lined with delicious bars and restaurants. Whether you want to grab a drink or just walk the boardwalk it's a great spot to people or boat watch and sometimes you may even see dolphins swim through! You can even rent paddle boards or kayaks nearby to explore the area by water.
Once a trolley bridge that connected Sullivan's Island and Mount Pleasant, the Pitt Street Bridge is now a site for recreation and relaxation. This a great spot to go for a walk especially during sundown!

It’s also home to the Patriots Point Museum and a fleet of National Historic Landmark ships, the Cold War Memorial and the only Vietnam Experience Exhibit in the U.S., the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, and the agency's official Medal of Honor Museum.
