It all started when Greg asked Shannon to play tennis, and she replied with an enthusiastic, "I'm down to clown"... Despite her subsequent embarrassment and rumination over saying such a thing, the pair found themselves a sunny day to spend at Green Lake. What started as a game of tennis turned into lunch at Bongo's and laughing on the docks. The two quickly realized how much they enjoyed spending time with each other. It was clear that they both had an earnest interest in getting to know the other and that their values and personalities were similarly aligned. A cohesive goofiness became the bedrock of their relationship, and the days spent together soon surpassed those spent apart. However, there was still a certain someone that needed convincing. Poe, Shannon’s dog and life partner, took a little longer to feel as comfortable as she did. But not to worry, Greg and Poe developed a deep love for one another and to this day you can often find them cuddling on the couch. As time went on, Shannon and Greg became closer and closer. And it was decided that instead of Greg going over to Shannon’s apartment nearly everyday, they would move in together. The couple left the shores of Green Lake and began their shared space in Ravenna with an apartment above a Thai restaurant (which came in handy after particularly exhausting days of work). Their relationship blossomed as they welcomed each other into their lives and explored the world together. The two spent their time camping and road tripping, stargazing and chatting over fires, becoming close to each other’s family, learning to play the plethora of board games Greg always seemed to have around, and supporting each other through the thralls of further education. By the end of Summer 2023, they adopted another dog, June (formerly known as Luna; formerly known as Gravity Star). Half a year later surrounded by the love of friends, Greg proposed to Shannon - a 30th birthday present to himself. Shannon accepted and since then the family of 4 has left apartment living behind and moved into a home in Shoreline, with a yard more than big enough for both the dogs. Shannon and Greg are excited to celebrate their committed love for each other with you all and cannot wait to see the future adventures unfold!
