Hiking Grandstaff Canyon will take you to a beautiful arch at the end. If you are feeling adventurous this is a pretty popular canyoneering route and you can rappel off the arch at the end!
Canyonlands National Park UT (435) 719-2313 Canyonlands is a much larger park than Arches. It provides opportunities for day hiking and backpacking. Mountain bikers can tackle challenging dirt roads that lead through the heart of the park.
The trail leads to various attractions, including the Corona Arch, Bow Tie Arch, beautiful views of the Colorado River, and a vast slick rock canyon. The trail is suitable for all ages and levels of hiker and is best hiked in the early morning or early evening due to the lack of shade.
Should probably be in a National Park of their own. Views are killer and there are a number of trails to get you up close and personal to staggeringly high sandstone spires with minimal effort.
Has a separate vehicle fee for the state park, but worth the trip up to stare down into the expansive canyonlands and Colorado River beneath.
