Moab Things To Do

From mountain biking, offroading, rock climbing, canyoneering, hiking, camping, rafting, to exploring the art galleries in town, there are endless possibilities for things to do in Moab. Here are a couple of popular options to get your gears turning. Moab is the base camp for it all. Expect most activities to take you 30-45 minutes of drive time to arrive at your starting point.

Grandstaff Canyon

UT 84532

Hiking Grandstaff Canyon will take you to a beautiful arch at the end. If you are feeling adventurous this is a pretty popular canyoneering route and you can rappel off the arch at the end!

Canyonlands National Park

UT
(435) 719-2313

Canyonlands National Park UT (435) 719-2313 Canyonlands is a much larger park than Arches. It provides opportunities for day hiking and backpacking. Mountain bikers can tackle challenging dirt roads that lead through the heart of the park.

Corona Arch Trailhead

Moab, UT 84532
, (435) 259-2100

The trail leads to various attractions, including the Corona Arch, Bow Tie Arch, beautiful views of the Colorado River, and a vast slick rock canyon. The trail is suitable for all ages and levels of hiker and is best hiked in the early morning or early evening due to the lack of shade.

Fisher Towers

UT 84532

Should probably be in a National Park of their own. Views are killer and there are a number of trails to get you up close and personal to staggeringly high sandstone spires with minimal effort.

Dead Horse Point State Park

Utah 313, Moab, UT 84532
, (435) 259-2614

Has a separate vehicle fee for the state park, but worth the trip up to stare down into the expansive canyonlands and Colorado River beneath.

Red Cliffs Lodge & Winery

Moab, UT 84532
, (435) 259-2002

Micro Winery for the grape fans. Can't confirm wine quality, but the setting won't let you down. On the way to our ceremony location from the Moab direction.

La Sal Lookout Point

Moab, UT 84532

An alpine drive for all you leaf-peepers with a view back into the red-rock lowlands of Moab.
