It was the night of June 16th, 2017. Both Natalie and Greg had tickets to the Brad Paisley concert. Little did they know that the stars were going to be aligned just right that night. Natalie arrived with a few of her friends and Greg with some of his. At some point during the night Natalie met up with her friend in the beer garden as he had different seats than hers. While Natalie was waiting for her friend, she glared across the beer garden to see this boisterous, happy, man who she thought was very good looking. Of course she wasn’t brave enough (at that point) to go over to say hi, cause that would just be silly. After a few minutes, Natalie eventually met up with her friend and in the midst of all the loud noises, fun and music, he introduced Natalie to his friend Greg. At that moment Natalie said to herself ‘you’ve got to be kidding me’ cause really, what are the chances? In the next few minutes Natalie found herself glimpsing over at Greg, many times, and she caught him doing the same. Eventually Natalie, being the forward and brave (at that point) woman that she is said out loud ‘I’m really attracted to you’ and Greg replied ‘I’m glad you said something, cause I think the same about you, but I have a Code’. Well this code, meaning that Greg thought Natalie was at the concert with her gentlemen friend, which she was, but just as friends. Of course Natalie immediately thought that was adorable and respectful of him, to have this code, which made him even more charming. The two of them would continue to converse, flirt and exchange numbers and take a photo the very night they met. How cool is that?! Greg even gave her a piggy back ride back to her car. And the rest...well the rest is history, but they like to think of the rest as an adventure!!! With the two of them together, adventure awaits every day!

On the evening of Sunday, September 17th, after just a few short months of dating Natalie and Greg were in a traumatic motorcycle accident. At approximately 7pm the two of them were on their way to dinner. On their ride to dinner, Greg took a turn too sharp and the footboard of his Harley hit the ground and sent them both hitting the pavement. When they realized what happened, Natalie’s first instinct was to ask Greg ‘what’s wrong with my face’?! Which was bleeding profusely and bruised and battered. And Greg, after taking the brunt of the fall, attempted 3 times to walk over to Natalie to make sure she was ok, but his leg kept buckling under him. Natalie and Greg stayed calm as they waited for the ambulance. Still in shock about what had just happened. They were both rushed separately to the trauma unit at Sutter Hospital Roseville. Natalie was bruised and had several areas of road rash and some lacerations on her face but was released that night without any major injuries. Greg on the other hand had several injuries including a smashed left pinky, broken left radial bone, his left patella was cracked in half and the worst injury was his smashed left femoral neck. These injuries were quite substantial and lead to a 5 hour surgery the following day and 5 days in the hospital. The following months would include using a wheelchair, a modified walker and crutches and having several reconstructive surgeries. This definitely tested their love for each other. It wasn’t easy. There were many long months of struggling, care, exhaustion, pain, and lack of sleep. For both of them. Through it all, neither of them ever gave up. Their perseverance and love got them through this terrible tragedy. They chose to stay positive in spite of what they were going through and after 8 long months, Greg was back to walking independently and life has been better than ever!

Natalie and Greg had been discussing marriage early on as they knew they were meant to be. On December 23rd, 2017 Greg proposed to Natalie, casually and without much surprise. Natalie isn’t one for surprises, she’s a planner and likes to know when things are happening. In fact, Greg told Natalie that her ring had arrived! She was so excited and said ‘well can I have it’? If you know Natalie, you know that she is not shy what so ever, so the fact that she asked is not shocking. Greg gave her the ring that night asked her to marry him. Of course Natalie said ‘yes’!! The very next day she started planning. Everything came pretty easy and in just a couple of months had everything lined up and ready to go! In fact, Natalie designed this website all on her own too! She may have missed her calling as a wedding planner.
