Cisco Brewery is one of our favorite spots on the island. It's Nantucket's local brewery, selling beer/wine/cocktails and food from local food trucks. It's a great spot with plenty of outdoor seating, dogs and live music. Highly recommend the Whale's Tale, Figawi Wowie. Save room for their delicious lobster roll. Only 3 miles away from downtown.
The Sandbar at Jetties beach is a festive beachfront spot that serves delicious New England seafood & drinks. It's our favorite place to go to for happy hour specials while still enjoying time in the sand and sun!
Below are some of our favorite activities when vacationing on Nantucket 1. Renting a bike/scooter Nantucket is a bike friendly island with many bike paths available. We love biking to Brant Point Lighthouse, Cisco Brewery and Sandbar at the Jetties. 2. Fishing with Fred For those who want to get out on the water, Captain Fred is your guy! Plus you get to keep what you catch for dinner. (http://fishnantucket.net/) 3. Exploring the Island Walk through Downtown Nantucket to do some shopping and check out famous historical spots including The Whaling Museum and The Hadwen House. Siasconset and Sankaty Lighthouse are located on the eastern part of the island. This area is home to charming cottages with great views of the ocean. 4. Golfing Nantucket has two public courses available. Miacomet is an 18 hole link-style course and Siasonset Golf is a challenging 9 hole course. You can book tee times 1 week in advance.
