The currency of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is the Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC$) which is tied to the US dollar at a bank exchange rate of US$1 to EC$2.67.
1. Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines: This is the primary bank on the island, located in Port Elizabeth. It houses two ATMs that are generally operational. One of the ATMs is situated in a cubicle accessible from the street on the side of the building facing the hospital. 2. Argyle International Airport (St. Vincent): If you're arriving via St. Vincent, you can withdraw cash at the airport before heading to Bequia. There are two ATMs at the airport, each from a different bank. One of them is located in its own booth, accessed from just outside the door. Note that there might be a small fee for withdrawals at the airport ATM, which is around 8 ECD per transaction at the Bequia ATMs. 3. It's advisable to exchange currency at the bank, as the most favorable exchange rates may not be obtained elsewhere. Many businesses, establishments, and taxis will accept payments in US Dollars with change given in local currency, though the exchange rate may be less favorable.
