Guests are welcome on-site starting at 4:30PM on Saturday.
Rain or shine, the weather in Central Maryland in October is usually really pleasant, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 60s during the day. In the evening, the temperature typically gets down to the mid-50s and may go down to the 40s late at night, so plan accordingly with some warm layers for the cooler evenings.
Ample parking, day or night in the venue's lot. Roadside parking within the grounds is allowed in the event that the parking lot fills up.
Unfortunately, due to its off-the-beaten path location, public transportation is not a very viable option for getting to Camp Hidden Valley. If you plan to attend but don't have your own vehicle, plan to rent, rideshare or carpool with other guests. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us before the end of July if you are having trouble figuring out your travel plans, so that we can assist as best we can in finding you a ride.
YES! Unlimited camping is available on-site, for any setup. If camping is your jam, then by all means bring a tent and whatever you'd like.
The closest hotels to our venue is the Holiday Inn Express Hunt Valley, about a 30 minute drive from Camp Hidden Valley. Find details here: https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/hotels/us/en/hunt-valley/balhu/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-EX-_-US-_-BALHU. Baltimore city is also about a 45 minute drive and offers tons of great activities and experiences, particularly if visiting from out of town. If you'd like to find accommodations closer, we recommend looking into AirBnb, where there are some comfortable options available nearby.
If staying at the on-site lodging, be sure to bring linens and blankets for yourself. Bedding will only be provided by the venue on request, at a rate of $25. You will also need towels if planning to use the bath facilities. If you're planning to stay and hang out the next day, we recommend some comfortable clothes and some snacks and beverages as needed.
We will be at the venue all day Sunday post-event, relaxing, socializing, enjoying the Nature Preserve and offer some activities and games. Our wedding theme is camp, and so we will be hosting a few classic summer camp-style competitions, there may even be prizes at the end of the day! All guests are welcome to join and participate, whether staying on-site or off.
Dinner and drinks will be provided on Saturday evening, as well as a light breakfast and snacks on Sunday. If staying the whole of Sunday, anticipate making lunch and dinner plans as needed. We plan to have a food truck in the afternoon from which food can be purchased.
All guests must be off-site no later than 11AM on Monday, the 26th.
