Gathering Place is a public park located alongside the Arkansas Diver and Riverside Drive. A one-of-a-kind playground, gardens, trails, boat rentals, restaurants, outdoor concerts, events and so much more! When Phase II and III are completed, the footprint of Gathering Place will be 100 acres.
Rising above the west bank of the Arkansas River, Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness is an untamed oasis in the heart of the city. Encompassing over 600 rugged acres, the park’s thick canopy of native trees watch over winding trails, serene ponds and ancient boulders.
A cool place downtown with shelves of board games. Rent a game, grab a coffee or cocktail, snack or meal. Situated in the southeast portion of the Tulsa Arts District, this place is family and kid friendly, while late night the mood transforms into more of an adult vibe.
Philbrook Museum of Art is a historic home, world class art museum, and 25 acres of gardens. Villa Philbrook was a child of the Twenties. World War I was over. Women could vote. It was a time of flappers, rumble seats, prohibition, bootleggers and five-cent Cokes. More than that, in Tulsa the Twenties smelled of oil and resounded with money. The Phillipses built the villa as a place where their two children could entertain friends. In 1938, Waite Phillips surprised Tulsans with the announcement of his gift of the 72-room mansion and surrounding 23 acres of grounds as an art center for the city of Tulsa.
Utica Square is probably one of our favorites places to hang on the weekends. It’s absolutely beautiful and packed full of restaurants, boutiques and shops to explore all surrounding beautiful flower beds and an iconic phone booth.
This is our favorite brunch spot (although Greg might say Neighborhood Jan), and it’s located in Utica Square. Cheryl loves to get the Omelette of the Day. Greg either gets the omelette or the SOS.
This place has the best bagels as well as croissant bagels! There are several locations, but this one is our favorite. Cheryl loves the Veggie bagel sandwich on a croissant bagel and adds an egg.
Tulsa has many wonderful coffee shops! We’re putting this one on here since it’s close to other recommendations - and we love it!
Amazing cajun food! Amazing brunch too! You feel like you're in New Orleans when you step inside this restaurant!
"Embark on a culinary journey inspired by the vibrant food and beverage scene of Mexico City. Our wood-fired Mexican grill and agave-based spirits bring Mexico’s flavors, energy, and warmth to your plate."
