Here is an additional overview: TRANSPORT TO THE WEDDING: Optional transportation to the wedding will be provided via private coach that will pick up at two locations. You can meet the bus at either location. 1:50PM First pickup location (City Center)- Please meet in front of the West Register House (17 Charlotte Square) at 1:50pm for a 2:00pm departure. This is a big green-domed building centrally located in Charlotte Square. This is a common pickup location for bus companies; the transport company you will be looking for is Coach Hire Edinburgh. 2:35PM Second pickup location (Dakota Hotel): If you will be catching the bus from the Dakota Hotel, please be in the lobby by 2:35pm for a 2:45pm scheduled departure. Your own transportation: If you will be arranging your own transportation, it should be simple to grab a cab from your hotel. Uber is an option to get TO the venue, but it will not be available to come back from the venue. Uber isn’t as widely available here as it is in the U.S. DEPARTURE FROM THE WEDDING: Coach Departure: A coach leaving Carlowrie Castle is scheduled for 12:45am, and the bus will drop guests at both the Dakota Hotel and Charlotte Square. Cab Departure: Should you want to leave earlier, Capital Cab Company can pick you up (schedule ahead online or call: 0131 777 7777). They’ve requested a 30 minute advance notice. If needed, just ask Terry Hockens or a staff member at Carlowrie for help getting a cab. Terry will have the cab company on speed dial. We understand Uber does not typically come to Carlowrie for return trips to the city center.

Yes! We are having a get-together for all guests at Brewhemia from 6pm-9pm on Monday, May 27. There will be appetizers/ light food and drinks. We hope to see you there!
No. Our guests will be spread out around Edinburgh. For the convenience of our guests, we have a block at the Dakota Hotel (see more on the "Hotels" tab) which is close to the airport and the venue (10 min drive). But if you are interested in staying close to the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh, you may prefer to find a different hotel located closer to the heart of the city. There will be a private bus to take guests to the wedding venue. It will pick-up from two locations: 1) City Centre at the West Register House in Charlotte Square (yes, really) 2) The Dakota Hotel Edinburgh. More information about transportation will be given to guests closer to the wedding.
