Best Man
Brian is Greg’s older brother and lifelong partner in crime. I would divulge further, but then we'd have to kill you. Let’s be honest we all know Brian took all the heat...
Maid of Honor
Is it surprising that these two were randomly placed as roommates freshman year at SLU? No. Because they must have filled the "roommate survey" exactly the same. Freshman year they were constantly getting yelled at by the RA for laughing too much or singing too loudly with the door open. Sophomore year Holly nursed Bryn back from the death after contracting the SLU Flu and being forced to leave the building for a fire drill... at 2AM... in February... Junior year they were able to con the school into giving them a suite with Greg and Ted for "community service" work (p.s. the suite was VERY small). And senior year there was a lot of blubbering and crying as we had to say goodbye to our home. This could go on and on, but can be summarized as follows: having spent four years in a small room at SLU with Bryn and two with Greg, it's a little surprising she still likes us.
Groomsman
Bryan is one of Greg’s oldest childhood friends. Whether snowboarding, delivering newspapers at 3AM, playing ping pong for hours, or wandering the woods in their suburban neighborhood they always made an adventure of it over the years.
Bridesmaid
Kathryn is the oldest of the Miller sisters and was therefore by default, the older sister that Bryn never had. From driving her around as a teenager to teaching her the state song as a 10-year old on an 8-hour car-ride (sorry adults!), Kathryn really checked all the boxes for big sister duties. While the other sisters may not have been able to work together so well for being too "sister-y", Bryn, an “almost sister" found things like mulching a dump truck full of mulch in Maine and managing the double kayak in the ocean with Kathryn some of her more memorable experiences (for good reasons)!
Groomsman
It’s actually a joke, neither Greg or Ryan can recall exactly when they met… Probably before 2nd grade when Greg decided he'd never read books for fun and Ryan decided he loved reading, definitely before Highschool when they roomed together at an SU soccer camp and agreed they'd never be able to live together, and certainly before college when Greg haphazardly crashed into Ryan and tore his MCL at frisbee practice. Ryan still points out he caught the disc... Greg feels bad, but still contests the foul.
Bridesmaid
When Bryn and Jenna got together as kids things got a little wacky. From weekend-long games of Monopoly that were played with only $1 bills (this was pretty much every weekend) to dangerous games of Spoons late into the night camping at Hermit Island, there was never a lack of crazy-ness. Fast forward to their trip to Kauai when they took a beautiful backpack trip only to have to walk back in treacherous rain and waist-high rivers… only to find out that the trail closed moments after crossing the river. But we were VERY safe ;)
Groomsman
Greg and Ted met early on in their college days at St. Lawrence University when they roomed two doors apart. After loads of hallway shenanigans and outdoor adventures that first year, it's no surprise they continued as roommates for the next three! Although their adventures have shifted from ultimate frisbee trips across the country, and Ted listening to Greg nerd out about chemistry (even in his sleep sometimes), to chatting over beers at the campfire and paddling in the Adirondack's by moonlight they still both never pass up the chance to adventure together.
Bridesmaid
Being the youngest of the Miller sisters, Bryn knew Alyssa before she was born - so she was doomed for crazy from the start. The two of them had taken trips all over the country, held incredible parties with themes like birthday, New Years, Olympic, hurricane, and remission (yes, they can think of a party for most occasions) and have baked many-a delicious dessert. Thankfully, Alyssa’s always got a fun adventure planned and helps get them outside and exploring Vermont… to burn off all those desserts.
Groomsman
Alec and Greg grew up down the street from each other and go way back, like even before they were running the neighborhood gang on their big wheels. Later in life they would go on to invent countless backyard sports and attend more Syracuse sporting events than one could count. They currently enjoy tossing the occasional frisbee with their dogs and discussing the joys and sorrows of home ownership over good beer.
Bridesmaid
A fellow grad-student, co-worker and co-habitator in the office at UMaine with Bryn. Somehow they both managed to graduate on-time (unheard of in their department!) even though no homework was completed while they were in the same room, meetings were interrupted by eye-rolls and e-mail-chats, and copiers were exploded way too late into the night. It is clear that the key to success in the RiSE Center is a lot of laughter, getting off-topic, and most importantly, eating of snacks.
Groomsman
Greg and Sam met during their freshman year at St. Lawrence University and immediately connected on music, sports, and their shared love of gas station food and naps. Sam quickly became Greg's worst, but most trusted co-pilot. Like that time when he fell asleep after skiing in the Adirondacks, only to wake up and promptly state "oh, that was our turn" as they passed the intersection... guess what, wasn't their turn. Or that time they got on the last train leaving Boston after a late concert, only to later find out it was heading in the completely wrong direction. Each turn along the way (whether wrong or right) led to another adventure and continue to lead to even more (as long as their knees stay in one piece).
Bridesmaid
A rock-nerd after her own heart, Kelly and Bryn spent many moons at SLU studying, chilling in the Geology science office late into the night, and by senior year, even having breakfast together (this was a years in the making endeavor for Kelly). Throw in an amazing trip to England where Kelly toured Bryn around her homeland, hundreds of hours in the Java Barn jamming and dancing at the sound board, and one Java formal (Kentucky Derby themed) where Bryn was the jockey and Kelly was the horse, it’s safe to say that Kelly has been a huge part of Bryn’s life. Oh, and one other major life changer - it was Kelly who helped set Bryn and Greg up 9 years ago…
Groomsman
Pete and Greg met as graduate students at UMaine. It's surprising to some that they're still good friends since one of the first times they met, Greg said "oh, so you're Sweaty-Pete", only to later find out the frisbee nickname he misheard was "Swaggy-Pete". They've continued to laugh about it over the years during their mountain bike rides, camping trips, and powder turns.
Bridesmaid
Playing ultimate on Bangor may have been where Bryn and Melissa first met, but there have been so many adventures since then. From canoeing in Baxter State Park during a beautiful September day to paddling the Kenduskaeg on anything but... (and hoping not to go for a swim) these two are always down for an outside adventure. There have been many Peppermint Parties, Yankee swaps and board games, even after Bryn and Greg moved to Vermont. You may also be able to find these two (and Greg) wandering the aisles of Marden's... If you’re not sure what Marden’s is… We’re sorry.
Ring Bearer
The fastest growing and goofiest nephew east of the Mississippi. He cleans up well but isn't afraid to jump in a few mud puddles.
Flower Girl
The sweetest, funniest, most beautiful niece ever. Watch out or she’ll steal your heart - or your dog.
Officiant
Matt is one of Greg's oldest childhood friends. Countless hours have been spent between the two eating some of the greasiest food, playing rounds of golf, listening to every type of music, and laughing at mindless television. When Matt's in the room you're never short of a laugh so it's no surprise that Greg and Bryn could think of no one better to officiate their wedding!
