We met on the Bumble dating app on February 8, 2021. After we matched, my (Amber’s) first comment was how impressed I was that Greg could cook because one of his profile photos was of a homemade lasagna in the oven. (He has not made me a lasagna yet, but it looks like we now have the rest of our lives for him to prove he can make one! 😂) After chatting back and forth on the app for a couple of days, he asked for my phone number. We had a couple of phone calls and he asked me to dinner that weekend. He didn’t realize until the day-of that our first date was the day before Valentine’s day! 😂 We met at a sushi restaurant and ended up having such a nice conversation that we walked over to the Irish restaurant next door to talk some more. 💕 Our second date, the following weekend, started at a food hall in downtown Raleigh, then on to the history museum, then a round of mini-golf (where he crushed me 😂) and finished with dinner at the Brier Creek Beer Garden. I think we knew we had something special when we were around each other for almost 10 hours and didn’t really want the date to end! ☺️ We are thankful that God brought us together and for the many memories we have created so far! We look forward to creating many more as we start our lives as a married couple!
