Alicia and Greg’s love story is similar to that of many of their millennial peers. The two were working in New York City in 2016 and neither was looking to put much effort into meeting new people due to long hours at work. Naturally, they both came to the logical conclusion to try internet dating. Alicia swiped right because she thought the dog in Greg’s profile was silly. Greg swiped right because Alicia’s profile was mostly about her newly adopted puppy, Rigby. Both had their priorities straight. Their conversation on the dating app started with a few back-and-forth jokes but it wasn’t long before they were planning their first date. Both agree that the date was great, that their conversation flowed naturally, and that the first kiss they shared at the end of the night was by far the worst either had ever had. They immediately planned a second date. Soon enough, Greg found himself watching Turner Classic Movie marathons at the Jersey Shore, Alicia found herself learning the Hebrew prayers for Jewish holidays to impress Greg’s family, and Rigby found himself peeing on Greg’s comforter at their first meeting to establish the hierarchy of this new relationship. Six years and one new comforter later, the two share a lovely one bedroom apartment in Manhattan and couldn’t be happier.
