We're finally making it official!

We met at a bar in Omaha in 2006 when Greg was living there and Aleah was flying there every week for work. We immediately clicked—because nothing says “perfect match” like two stubborn oldest children with control issues and strong opinions, right? But the timing was messy, life was complicated, and we went our separate ways. Then came 2010…cue the dramatic reunion (think The Notebook, but with fewer rainstorms and more texting). We saw each other again and it was like no time had passed—just pure, undeniable “oh damn, this is it” energy. It felt like the universe finally got its act together. Since then, we’ve built a life that’s loud, messy, and full of love. We argue like it’s an Olympic sport, annoy each other like siblings, and laugh harder than we probably should at our own jokes. We’ve got two amazing kids together who keep us grounded, exhausted, and constantly questioning our life choices! We parent with wildly different styles, which means we disagree on basically everything—from bedtime to screen time to whether “because I said so” is a valid argument. And somehow, it works. Greg also has three grown kids from previous relationships. While we haven’t been in the trenches of parenting with them, we’ve had the privilege of watching them grow into adults over the years—mostly from afar, but always with love. Their long-distance updates and occasional visits continue to remind us how fast time flies and how lucky we are to have them in our lives. We’ve been through breakups, makeups, road trips, meltdowns, and more “discussions” about who’s right than we care to count. And somehow, through all the chaos, we’ve never stopped choosing each other—even when we’re yelling across the house. :) Now we’re finally getting married. Not because we’re traditional (we’re definitely not), but because we’ve earned this. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re doing it our way by throwing a wedding that feels like all the fun we had together in our 20s - with loud music, zero chill, and a dance floor that better stay packed all night!
