Although we met at work in 2015, our love story didn’t start until mid-pandemic in 2021. Although Ale had long left UMA, Greg reached out for some “help” with the artistic direction of his interpretation of the “Hunger Games”. Little did we know, this was going to be the first of many over-the-top elaborate projects that we would start together. Throughout the project, we got a glimpse of all the qualities that would lead us to fall madly in love with each other; our creativity, sense of humor, and obsession with movies and project plans. Once the sparks started flying, we jumped right in and decided to quarantine together, and you know what they say… “A couple that quarantines together, stays together” or at least they should say that…
Like with every fairytale ending, ours started with a good book. This book was written and designed by Greg. Greg, understanding and fully enabling my book addiction, had designed the perfect proposal. An entire bookstore had been reserved, photographers hired, and a book secretly shelved perfectly at my eye level, with the title “Mueller Mori” to catch my attention. I picked up the book, surprised by its title and, of course, completely clueless and unaware, but let’s blame pregnancy brain for that. While I was opening this book, which was safely hiding the most beautiful engagement ring I could imagine. Greg got down on one knee and waited for me to catch on. He was so nervous, he couldn’t utter the speech he had prepared, and I was so happy and surprised, all I could do was to dramatically nod yes multiple times.
